GMC Sierra Denali

GMC's more than century old tradition of creating high-quality vehicles is being taken to the next level with the introduction of the 2007 Sierra lineup. Taking on the rest of the industry, the trucks boast segment-leading V-8 power and fuel efficiency, as well as providing a smooth ride and a quiet interior. The '07 Sierra models, including the Sierra Denali, have the highest-rated towing capacity of any light-duty model, at 10,500 pounds/4,763 kg, and a payload capacity of 2,160 pounds (980 kg). John Larson, general manager of Buick-Pontiac-GMC, explained that the 2007 Sierra lineup is designed to cater to people's everyday needs, with configurations suitable for all lifestyles and uses. It is available in work truck, SLE (SLE1 and SLE2 models) and SLT, as well as being available with 2WD and 4WD, and three cab styles -regular, extended and crew cab - plus three cargo box lengths - 5 foot 8 inches, 6 foot 6 inches and 8 foot. Those looking for a luxury touch will find it in the Sierra Denali which offers exclusive features such as an all-aluminum 6.2L V-8 engine with variable valve timing and a new six-speed automatic transmission. The Sierra models are available in the fourth quarter of 2006, with the Sierra Denali and heavy-duty models released in the first quarter of 2007.
