Gordon Murray T.25 Concept

Gordon Murray Design's revolutionary T.25 City Car will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the Smith School's World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment in Oxford. This historic launch marks a breakthrough in city car engineering, as the T.25 boasts an impressive range of features, such as a lightweight design, small footprint, advanced safety features, and a highly efficient powertrain. In addition, the car also boasts an incredibly tight 6m turning circle for easier urban maneuvering, coupled with a width of just 1.3m, which would allow two vehicles to fit in a single lane, potentially tripling the number of vehicles that can travel at peak times. The car can also be parks at an angle to the curb in parallel parking slots, allowing up to three cars to fit with the door-opening system. This revolutionary car was developed to showcase Gordon Murray Design's patented iStream® manufacturing process, the biggest revolution to high-volume manufacture since the Model T. Development of the process began about 15 years ago, and in 2008, it earned the prestigious Autocar 'Idea of the Year' award. The streamlined manufacturing method employed allows the entire manufacturing plant to occupy just 20% of the space of a conventional factory.
