Hamann BMW Z4
Just in time for the start of the cabrio season, Hamann Motorsport is introducing a comprehensive programme for accessories and modification of the current
BMW Z4 Roadster. This plethora of customisation options for the roadster with the retractable hardtop features attractive body styling, unique rim designs, and powerful performance improvements.
The Hamann aerodynamics programme is distinguished by high-quality components with eye-catching design and improved airflow over the silhouette of the vehicle. The experts have replaced the regular front spoiler on the front axle with their own invention which includes two embedded LED day lamps. The side skirts in between the front and back add to the car's delicate, stretched look. A shapely spoiler on the tailgate reduces the lift force on the rear axle, while the new rear apron gives the Z4 a polished overall appearance – plus provides space for the four tailpipes of the Hamann sports exhaust system.
The engine experts from Hamann have modified the BMW Z4 sDrive35i engine, eliminating the 250 km/h speed limit. An optimisation of the series production control device has increased the performance to a hefty 360 hp / 265 kW at 5230 rpm (original 306 hp / 225 kW at 2500 rpm). Maximum torque has also been multiplied to 540 Nm, available within the 1300 to 5000 rpm range (standard is 400 Nm at 1300 - 5000). This upgrade gives the Z4 a top speed of 285 km/h.
One of the remarkable products from the Hamann range of wheels is the three-part Edition Race "Matt Black" forged wheel. Its matt black, polished spokes and titanium screw joints epitomise sportiness and class, while the highly polished rim flange gives an exclusive touch. The 20" wheel/tyre combination of 8,5Jx20 inch and 235/30ZR20 front tyres together with 10,0Jx20 rims plus 295/25ZR20 back tyres is available at 7,640 Euro. Additionally, the aluminium wheels with customised suspension springs lower the centre of mass on both the front and back axles of the Z4 Roadster by 30 millimetres, thereby improving its handling.
For the interior, Hamann Motorsport has come up with subtle additions. An aluminium gear knob plus floor mats with stitched Hamann logo provide a sporty effect. If requested, exclusive, handmade leather fittings will be supplied to fulfil the desires of the BMW Z4 Roadster drivers.
