Hamann Fiat 500 Sportivo
Hamann-Motorsport, a tuning company primarily known for modifying BMWs and luxurious cars, decided to step off the beaten track and take on the Fiat 500. With joy and enthusiasm, the Laupheim-based technicians set out to develop an extensive Hamann sportivo-tuning programme. The Italian sports car was given a racy look with striking 17-inch rims and an eye-catching flag pattern, while its performance was enhanced with a Hamann sport exhaust system. Additionally, progressive chassis springs, a newly-developed braking system, and a performance optimization for the diesel model provide a speedy joyride.
The design wheel HM sportivo I stands out with its trendy mobile appearance and perfect handling, featuring a one-piece rim with a diamond-polished outer edge, offered in size 7.0 x 17. Recommended tyres to pair with it are 195/40 ZR17 or 215/35 ZR 17, by technology partner Hankook. A complete wheelset can be purchased for 1,420 €. The Hamann-set for lowering chassis leads to improved handling, while the car itself will be lowered by 30mm.
For the 1,4 litre petrol car, a sport exhaust system was specially designed, rendering a thrilling and sonorous sound. The system includes a performance muffler (from 390 € onwards), two round end pipes made of high-grade steel (70 mm diameter), a pre-muffler with metal catalyst, and a sport fan manifold, which can all be bought separately. Also, a break system was developed for improved deceleration values, consisting of two perforated and ventilated brake discs (diameter 280 x 28mm) at the front axle, red 4-piston fixed yokes, and steel flex brake lines for the back axle.
The 1,3 Multijet 16V Fiat 500 diesel model can be upgraded with an increased performance for 699 €, giving the motor 90 hp / 66 kW at 4,000 r.p.m. (series: 75 hp / 55 KW) and a maximum torque of 230 Nm at 1,750 r.p.m. (series: 145 Nm at 1,500 rpm). Lastly, the interior can be customized with an aluminium pedal set including footrest, and a car mat set with a Hamann sportive logo embroidered on it.
