Hamann Hawk
Already boasting a powerful engine and an exciting car body design presented in Everose Gold, Hamann Motorsport, the Southern German specialist for exclusive automobile refinements, makes the Mercedes SLS AMG into the Hamann Hawk by giving it a sleek new look and sharper talons. To further enhance the power of the V8 engine, Hamann's engine department adds a high-performance titanium exhaust system, sports manifolds, catalysts and an air filter with a new engine calibration map. This results in a top performance of 636 hp / 468 kW with maximum torque of 680 Nm at 4,850 r.p.m - making it ready for the sports-ambitious drivers. The performance likewise surpasses that of the base model, with the Hawk achieving race start speeds of 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h.
The striking appearance of the Hawk is a result of aerodynamics testing in the wind tunnel. The wing door car has a redesigned front apron to prevent uplifting forces on the front axle, larger air inlets, LED lights, a bonnet made from checkered flag carbon, and side skirts to make the two-seater look lower and more stretched. The back end is finished with a rear wing, diffuser, and an apron to allow for air to flow beneath the car while four large end pipes, each measuring 90mm in diameter, take care of the engine's increased need for air.
Nothing has been overlooked when it comes to the Hawk's interior too, presenting the driver with a refined VIP lounge atmosphere with motorsports features. The addition of delicate leather and ultra-suede, air inlets, carbon door sill protectors, black anodized aluminium pedals, and an ergonomically redesigned steering wheel all come together to make a great driving experience. The "Unique Forged Anodized" single-part, light weight 21" wheels and the coilover kit, with its height-adjustable dampers and four progressively wound springs, complete the experience.
