Holden Captiva CX
GM Holden Chairman and Managing Director, Denny Mooney, today said he was delighted to have the all new Captiva sports utility vehicle join the Holden range. With the range priced from $35,990, Captiva is Holden's first modern SUV-style offering in Australia and offers buyers a choice of highly specified SX, CX and LX models and is topped by the Euro-styled Captiva MaXX at $42,990.
The exterior dimensions of the Captiva are closest to the BMW X5 and it provides for either five or seven-seats depending on the model. Power comes from a strong, locally made 3.2 litre Alloytec high performance V6 engine and all models come with an active all-wheel-drive system with a five-speed automatic transmission, Active Select, Descent Control System and Active Rollover Protection as standard. The acclaimed crash avoidance system Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) is also featured across the range, while curtain airbags are available across the range and standard on three of the four models.
Holden-tuned chassis dynamics ensure an enjoyable on and off-road driving experience, and from an environmental standpoint, Captiva SX, CX and LX models return a competitive 11.5 litres per 100 kilometres and the Captiva MaXX returns 11.6 litres/100 kms per the ADR 81/01 standard.
