Holden VE Commodore Berlina

Holden has spent over six years designing and engineering the new VE Commodore, the fourth generation of the vehicle since the debut of the multiple award-winning VT Commodore in 1997. This is the first time Holden has conducted a full clean-sheet program in its vehicle production history. Boasting a $1 billion development program, the VE Commodore touts more features and value than ever before. Possessing an increased wheelbase that allows the car a more powerful European styled stance, it is also much safer with upgraded mechanical features and interior and exterior design. With over 2.4 million Commodores built and sold in Australia and around the world, Holden chose the SS model and the prestige leader Calais to debut the all-new Commodore at an event in Melbourne. Along with the WM series Statesman and Caprice flagship models, these vehicles represent Australia’s most successful locally designed exports. The launch of the VE Commodore come at an apt time, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the original Holden saddlery business that grew to become GM Holden, and 75 years since Holden became part of the world’s largest automotive company, General Motors.
