Holden VE Commodore Omega

Holden has launched its all-new ad fully redesigned Commodore range, designed and engineered with the promise to continue as Australia's best selling car for the following decade. The program cost over $1 billion to develop, making it the most homegrown and largest undertaking for the company in the past 60 years. The fourth-gen Commodore has been fitted with entirely new interior, exterior, and mechanical features, the most robust a Holden model has ever seen. It has been six years in the making, with the VT Commodore having taken the wheel since 1997. Holden has already built 2.4 million Commodores for sale in Australia and abroad, setting a global reputation for itself. The VE Commodore was given its grand debut in Melbourne, beginning with the SS performance hero model and the prestige leader, the Calais. The Statesman and Caprice flagship models, which were designed for exportation, were also revealed at the event. The Commodore's stance on the road has changed drastically, with increased wheelbase and wheels moved closer to the corners of the car. The 75th anniversary of Holden being part of General Motors, as well as the 150th anniversary of the original Holden saddlery, are both celebrated with the launch of the VE Commodore Omega.
