GM Holden launched the latest iteration of its iconic VE Ute range in Melbourne today - a culmination of almost 60 years of Australian motoring. This is the first brand-new ute design by Holden since the VU series of 2000, and features greater interior space, storage flexibility and more performance. Holden invested an extra $105 million into vehicle development and conducted 650,000km of reliability testing.
Chris Gubbey, Chairman and Managing Director of GM Holden, described the VE Ute as a testament to Australia's story; "It is a vehicle that is capable of hard work and play, and is made even more capable with great value pricing through Holden." The VE Ute was crafted in Australia, and houses the same world-class design and engineering as the multi-award-winning VE Commodore Sedan. It is the first ute to come with ESP® crash avoidance safety technology standard. In addition, it also features high-strength steel for improved safety standards.
