Holden VY Commodore Executive 2003 posters

Holden VY Commodore Executive

The Holden VY Commodore was produced between September 2002 and August 2004, with a Series II released in August 2003. This improved model is much more refined than the previous design, with improvements in body structure, powertrain, chassis dynamics, performance, ride, handling, safety, and build quality. The VY Commodore came in several different models: the Executive, Acclaim, Berlina, Calais, S, SV8, and the SS. All the models in the VY range were sedans, but the Executive, Accliaim, and Berlina models could also be found in station wagon form. The similar VZ Holden Calais was also released, but only available as a sedan. The VY featured a completely redesigned exterior and interior, including a front grille and headlights, taillights, instrument panel, centre console, steering wheel, and transmission shifter and handbrake. Home to a mobile phone power outlet located underneath the centre console, the instrument cluster boasts a large multi-function digital display (singular or triple-window, depending on the model) to showcase radio station display, PRNDL gear, selected indicator, trip computer, stopwatch function, service reminders, and a help facility. Furthermore, some of the standard features now include "twilight sentinel" automatic headlamp control, programmable time delay of headlamps, high feature Blaupunkt audio systems, road-speed sensitive intermittent wipers, and passenger airbags.
