GM Holden Chairman and Managing Director, Denny Mooney, has heralded the launch of the all-new Holden WM Statesman and Caprice models, strongly emphasising their benchmark-level build quality, ride refinement, safety and luxurious comfort. Previously revealed alongside the VE Commodore in mid-July, the long-wheelbase sedans will officially make their Australian sales debut in September and then set sail for export markets.
The combined investment between the VE Programme and WM development amounts to a staggering $1.23 billion, and with the WM Caprice V8 priced under $70,000 and the Statesman models at $58,990 and $62,990 respectively, Mr Mooney believes they boast all the right elements to capture worldwide attention.
"The WM models have more differentiation from their short wheelbase siblings than ever before," Mooney explained. "They exude a sense of confidence, showcasing to the world that Australians can make truly compelling cars. They are spacious, comfortable and offer unparalleled ride and handling for cars of that size - domestic and overseas customers will no doubt be proud to have them in their possession."
