Honda Accord EuroR

The Honda Accord has seen many versions since its introduction in 1976. In 2003, it was completely redesigned and sold across the world. There are differences between versions sold in Japan, the United States, and other parts of the world. The Accord that was available in Japan and other countries in 1990-1993 (its 4th Generation) was offered a year before in Japan from 1989-1992. It was equipped with features that the US model did not have, such as a Navigation System, TV, mini-disc player, digital automatic climate control, traction control, Anti-Lock brakes, side-marker lights, heated mirrors, an outside temperature gauge, and an in-cabin air refiner. In some countries, it was also available in an Accord Si and Si-T model or a Euro R trim in Europe. In 1998, the Accord had a major redesign for its Sixth-Generation. It was reverted to a more conservative style. The wagon was discontinued in North America, but still available elsewhere. The Accord was split into two versions - one for North America and one for every other country. The Accords that were made after 2003 for North America were based on the Japanese Honda Inspire and also sold in other parts of Asia, while the Japanese Accord was sold in the US as an Acura TSX. Even though the North American version was bigger and heftier, the worldwide model designed in 2003 had no size increase. The F-series VTEC engines had their debut with this model, too, and the 90° C-series V6 engine was replaced by a more-compact 60° J-series unit to be used in the US Accord. The Japanese Accord and Inspire featured the Honda Intelligent Driver System (HIDS) with safety innovations, like the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and adaptive cruise control.
