To maximize power output and maximize efficiency, the Accord is available with a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine rated at 268-horsepower and featuring Variable Cylinder Management™ (VCM®) technology. This system operates in 6-cylinder mode for power output and 4- and 3-cylinder modes for increased efficiency, resulting in a Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) rating and and EPA city/highway fuel economy of 19/29 miles per gallon for the Accord Sedan V-6.
