Honda Accord Sedan 2.4 [EU]

The Honda Accord sedan 2.4 [EU] was produced from 2002 to 2007 and was a mid-sized vehicle which was sold in both European and Japanese markets. This particular generation saw the two regions unite their version of the Accord in order to make it more competitive, meaning the addition of a station wagon and Honda's first diesel engine. In Japan, it was combined with the Torneo model, enabling it to better stand up to its counterparts such as the Mazda Atenza and Subaru Legacy. The outside dimensions of the Accord were slightly augmented, and it dropped out of the size 5 tax band with this version. In other countries where both the European and North American Accords were being sold, the JDM Accord was branded as the Accord Euro to prevent confusion with its more prominent US equivalent, which is sold in Japan as the Honda Inspire. It was highly popular in Australia, as over 45,000 sedans were sold between 2003 and 2008. Additionally, it was exported to Canada and the US, where it was retailed as the Acura TSX. At the time, the Honda Accord 2.4 was up against the likes of the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra, Ford Mondeo, Volkswagen Passat, Mazda 6, and Toyota Avensis.
