Honda Accord Sedan 2.4EL [EU]

The Honda Accord has a long history of success since its redesign in 2003, selling globally. Honda offers various Accords in different markets, tailored to suit local preferences. In Japan, there is a wide range of advanced features available that aren't found in US models. For example,89-92 models in Japan had a Navigation System, TV, mini-disc player, digital automatic climate control, traction control, Anti-Lock brakes, side-marker lights, heated mirrors, outside temperature gauge, an in-cabin air refiner, map lights, seat heaters, standard fog lamps, headlight washers, rear fog light, full-power seats, telescoping bumper pole, and half-mast antenna switch. Additionally, there is an Accord Si and Si-T model and a "Euro R" trim in Europe. In 1998, the Accord underwent a major overhaul and reverted to a more conservative design. In North America, the Accord wagon was discontinued, but remains popular elsewhere. Accordingly, two separate models have emerged: one for North America and one for the rest of the world. The Accords sold in North America are large compared to those sold internationally, while the Japanese Accord is offered in North America as the Acura TSX. The 2003 model of the Accord saw a size increase but those sold worldwide experienced a smaller one. The F-series VTEC engines make their debut in the European and Japanese Accords, and the 90° C-series V6 engine was replaced by a more-compact 60° J-series unit for the North American Accord. Honda also offers the North American Accord in a number of Asian markets, although it has not been a resounding success. Features like the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and adaptive cruise control are available in the Japanese-only Honda Intelligent Driver System or HIDS. Overall, the Honda Accord has multiple versions to fit the needs of various consumers across the globe.
