The Honda Accord 2.4TL [EU] was sold from 2002 to 2007 and was a seventh-generation mid-sized sedan and wagon for the European and Japanese markets. In an effort to be more competitive in the European market, various upgrades and additions were made, such as a station wagon and diesel engine options. For the Japanese market, the Accord was merged into the Torneo to better compare with models, like the Mazda Atenza and Subaru Legacy. The JDM Accord was also exported to North America and Canada, where it was known as the Acura TSX. In countries where both versions of the Accord were sold, like New Zealand and Australia, the JDM Accord was called the Accord Euro. This car was popular in Australia and over 45,000 sedans were sold between 2003 and 2008.
