Honda Accord Sedan EX-L

In 2006, the 30th anniversary of the North American Accord, the model underwent a major update, with enthusiasts referring to it as the 7.5 generation. As part of the refresh it received a new front grille matching the eighth-generation of Honda Civic, and LED taillights, DRLs and heated side mirrors; VSA, traction control, and Brake assist added as options for V6 model. Interior changes included a revised steering wheel cover, differently Colored gauges, and a different shift knob for automatics. Its GPS Navigation saw an upgrade to a faster processor and more memory, and Zagat restaurant information. Under the hood, the engine saw a power boost of 4hp (V6) and 6hp (4-cylinder) over the previous year thanks to more efficient intake and exhaust systems, and the V6 was available with a 6-speed manual transmission for the first time. The Brazilian market Accord swapped out the 2.4L engine for a smaller 2.0L 4-cylinder i-VTEC K20A engine generating 148 bhp (110 kW). The trim levels were also altered, with the inexpensive no-frills Accord being replaced by the VP (Value Package) trim which included key features like anti-lock brakes, air conditioning and more. In Canada, there were multiple trims available for the sedan and coupe, while the Accord Hybrid got the same upgrades as the others, but remained identically powerful to the 2005 model. For its 2007 model year it featured aCool Blue Metallic paint option and slightly scored below the newly-redesigned Toyota Camry on reviewers' lists.
