Honda Accord Wagon

The Honda Accord Wagon, released on the "CB" chassis in 1989, had a low slung design and wraparound rear window. It was one of the first U.S. production cars to boast optic reflectors with clear lenses on the headlamps, with styling influences from the flagship Honda Legend (sold in North America as an Acura). The Accord manufactured for international markets saw an increase in its dimensions, practically the equivalent to the first generation Legend in 1986. Engine-wise, the North America Accord received an all-aluminium 2.2 liter 16 valve electronic fuel-injected engine, while an electronic controlled rear engine mount was included in models with automatic transmissions for reducing low frequency noise and vibration. The trim levels available for North American markets ranged from the DX, LX, and EX trims, while in Canada only the LX, EX, and EX-R made an appearance. The Accord Coupe was offered in the same trim levels as the Sedan (LX, EX, and EX-R) in Canada, and the EXi Accords sold in Australia had a four-wheel steering system as an optional feature. However, this system was not included in the New Zealand-assembled versions.
