Honda Accord Wagon 2.4T Exclusive Package [EU]

The Honda Accord Wagon 2.4T Exclusive Package [EU] was the seventh-generation Accord that was produced for both the European and Japanese markets from 2002 to 2007. It featured a station wagon, a first for the Honda Accord, and a Honda-built diesel engine offered towards the end of its lifespan. This generation saw the two global versions of the Accord, previously separate models, converge into one model to be more competitive and attractive to European consumers. The Japanese Accord was merged into what is known as the Torneo, used to rival Japanese sport sedans such as the Mazda Atenza and Subaru Legacy. On the other hand, the North American Accord was sold in Japan as the Honda Inspire, ready to compete in the entry-level luxury sedan class. The Accord dimensions increased slightly, meaning it no longer fell in the Size 5 tax band in Japan. When it was on the market, the Accord competed with other mid-sized sedans such as the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra, Ford Mondeo, Volkswagen Passat, Mazda 6, and Toyota Avensis. In countries like Australia and New Zealand, the Japanese Accord is called the Accord Euro to differentiate it from its North American counterpart, which is sold in these countries as the Acura TSX. It was a top seller in Australia, with over 45,000 sedans sold over its 5 year production period.
