Honda Accord iCTDi [EU]

The Honda Accord is an automobile manufactured by Honda that was redesigned in 2003 and sold worldwide. Accords outside of the United States feature a number of unique features, depending on the region in which it is sold. In Japan, for instance, full-featured Accords can be found until 1997. Older generations of Accords, such as the US 1990-1993 model, are actually offered in years 1989-1992 in Japan, and with the fifth generation from 1993-1996. Many of these international Accords feature an unheard-of number of features for the Accord, up until recently, such as a built-in navigation system, TV, mini-disc player, digital automatic climate control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, side-marker lights, heated mirrors, an outside temperature gauge, an in-cabin air refiner, map lights, seat heaters, standard fog lamps, headlight washers, rear fog lights, full-power seats, telescoping bumper poles, and a half-mast antenna switch. An Accord Si and Si-T model can also be found in some countries in addition to a Euro R trim in Europe. In 1998, the Accord underwent a massive redesign for its sixth-generation, the notable difference being it reverted back to its more conservative roots. This redesign also discontinued the Accord's wagon in North America, but the wagon remains available in other locations. Internationally, the Accord is divided into two distinct versions; one for North America, and one for sale worldwide. The North American model is based on the Japanese Honda Inspire, while Japanese Accord is sold in North America as the Acura TSX. In 2003, the Accord was redesigned again, but this time its size did not increase as it had with the North American version of the previous generation. The F-Series VTEC engines were introduced in the European and Japanese Accords, and the 90° C-Series V6 was replaced by a compact 60° J-Series unit for the US Accord. Honda also offers the North American Accord in certain Asian markets, however sales have been mixed. Both variants of the Accord are available for sale in Australia; the North American and worldwide models. The Japanese Accord features hi-tech features not found in the North American vehicle, as well as minor body style modifications. Intelligent Driver System (IDS) is also featured in both the Japanese Accord and Inspire, which includes safety enhancements such as the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and adaptive cruise control.
