Honda Brio Concept

Honda has revealed a prototype of the Honda BRIO, a new small vehicle designed to be released in Thailand and India in 2011. Honda has implemented their "man maximum, machine minimum" concept in the BRIO Prototype, creating a compact body which still has plenty of cabin space (3,610mm x 1,680mm x 1,475mm). This vehicle is designed to have a strong, yet compact exterior and is intended to be an entry-level car for many emerging nations. The BRIO Prototype models tailored for Thailand and India will satisfy the local customer needs for a small car. Honda will also focus on local sourcing of parts and materials for these models, such as sheet steel. The Thai model is aiming for an eco-car fuel economy of 5 liters/100km and an estimated starting price of 400,000 baht. The Indian model will be released in 2011 and Honda intends to achieve a good balance between vehicle performance and price. According to President and CEO Takanobu Ito of Honda Motor, "Honda would like to expand the joy of mobility to more customers in Thailand, India and other Asian countries through the introduction of a new small vehicle with compact and highly efficient packaging, utilizing our own experiences from motorcycle business here in Asia."
