Honda Civic Hatchback

The third generation Honda Civic Hatchback was a popular automobile produced from 1983 to 1987. It featured an increased wheelbase of 93.7 inches and improved suspension parts including independent front control arms with torsion bar springs and a semi-independent rear beam with coil springs. It was offered in three distinct bodystyles: a three-door hatchback/kammback, a four-door sedan (also known as the Honda Ballade), and a five-door "Shuttle" station wagon. In Japan, the Civic Hatchback was exclusive to Honda Primo, but was also sold in Europe as the Rover 213/216 and Indonesia as the Civic “Wonder”. Outside of Japan, the sedan and hatchback shared the same dashboard, but the CRX and wagons both had their own unique dash. The Honda Quint (five-door hatchback) underwent a model change and became the Honda Quint Integra, available as both three- and five-door fastback. The Honda CR-X was the only model with a fastback, sloping rear hatch that gave it a performance car appearance.
