Honda Civic Mugen Si Sedan
The 2008 Honda Civic Mugen Si Sedan will be released in mid-October, offering factory-installed Mugen performance parts to Honda enthusiasts. This vehicle features an upgraded suspension tested at the Twin Ring Motegi racing circuit, forged aluminum wheels, and an aerodynamic body kit with a rear diffuser and a rear wing. It has a sport-tuned exhaust system that reduces back pressure from the catalytic converter back, and a track-tuned suspension that imparts enhanced handling performance.
The Mugen Si Sedan will be available in Fiji Blue Pearl, and will include front and rear Mugen emblems. Inside, there's a Mugen Limited Edition placard on the center console, and a 50 mm Mugen aluminum shift knob. It has an i-VTEC DOHC 4-cylinder engine, a 6 Speed MT transmission, and 197 horsepower @ 7800 rpm, 139- lb.-ft. of torque @ 6100 rpm.
This limited-production vehicle (maximum of 1,000 units for the 2008 model year) will have a retail price of less than $30,000, and come with a full factory warranty. It has an overall length of 177.8 inches (+1.1 inches from Civic Si Sedan), and a ride height of 5.3 inches (-0.6 inches from Civic Si Sedan) with BFGoodrich® g-Force KDW 215/40ZR18 summer tires. The specially designed wheels are 18x7.5-inches and weigh 16.98 pounds, making them 27 percent lighter than the stock 17x7 alloy wheel.
