Honda Civic Si Sedan Concept

Today, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. announced the Civic Si Sedan Concept would make its debut at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show. Previewing the styling and power of the 2007 Civic Si production car due out this fall, it will mark the first time the Si performance package will be available for sedan models. Offering improved traction and cornering, the Civic Si Sedan will feature a 197-horsepower, 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC engine with an 8,000 rpm redline, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission with a helical-type limited-slip differential. 18-inch cast aluminum alloy wheels, 225/40ZR18 high-performance tires, and 4-wheel disc brakes with large cross-drilled brake rotors and Brembo 4-piston calipers will come standard. "The Civic Si Sedan Concept demonstrates how the high-performance attributes of the Civic Si Coupe can be applied to the practicality of a sedan," said John Mendel, senior vice president of American Honda. In addition to the already introduced Civic Si Coupe, the two-body style options are sure to give enthusiasts plenty of reasons to be excited for the Civic Si sedan's upcoming launch. It will be the sixth-generation version of the Civic Si to hit the market since 1986.
