Honda Civic Si Sedan Concept

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is proud to present the Civic Si Sedan Concept at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show. Providing an early look at a production Civic Si Sedan due to be released this fall, the Concept embodies the signature Civic style and performance that make Honda Si models a favorite among driving enthusiasts. With an 8,000 rpm redline, a 197-horsepower, 16-valve, DOHC i-VTEC engine, and a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, the production Civic Si Sedan will deliver a superior driving experience. Performance is also enhanced with a limited-slip differential, 18-inch cast aluminum alloy wheels with 225/40ZR18 tires, 4-wheel disc brakes, and large, cross-drilled brake rotors. Speaking about the Concept, John Mendel, Senior Vice President of American Honda, said, “The Civic Si Sedan Concept demonstrates how the high-performance attributes of the Civic Si Coupe can be directly applied to the functionality of a sedan.” The production vehicle based on the Concept will mark the first time that Civic Si performance is available in two separate body styles. The Civic Si Coupe Concept made its debut at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show and was followed by the all-new 2006 Civic Si Coupe. When it goes on sale, the Civic Si Sedan will serve as yet another performance leader in the Civic line-up while delivering a unique level of value and performance.
