Honda Element 2005 posters

Honda Element

The Honda Element is a crossover SUV initially introduced and released in 2003. Built on a modified CR-V chassis, it is shorter in length and has a higher roofline, narrower front track, and a lower floor than its predecessor. Under the hood, a 2.4 liter K24A4 i-VTEC four-cylinder engine delivers 156 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque. The Element is available in both front-wheel drive and Real Time™ four-wheel drive, and is now produced in East Liberty, Ohio. The development of the Element began with a group of young R&D engineers in 1998 who wanted to create a vehicle for their active lifestyle. After conducting informal focus groups around the country, their final product was a 4-seater that had the best features of a pickup truck and SUV, as well as a low floor, textured urethane surface, removable rear seats, and a large clamshell tailgate with no center pillar. These elements made it easier for the Element to carry large and potentially messier loads.
