For 2012, Honda Fit builds on its trusted strengths with improved styling and upgraded features on the Honda Fit Sport model, as well as new standards and other available options. The Fit has a compact size and tight turning radius of only 34.4 feet from curb to curb, making it ideal for squeezing into tight urban areas and smaller parking spaces while still providing the space and versatility of a much larger vehicle. With the rear seats down, the five-seater Honda Fit has the lowest and flattest cargo floor and a cargo volume of 57.3 cu-ft., more than any other subcompact car. Its four distinct seating designs can conveniently carry bigger items from bicycles to surfboards to tall potted plants.
Honda Fit Sport's updates for 2012 include a new front grill and bumper, black headlight bezels, and a unique "machined surface" finish to the alloy wheels, and body-coloured exterior mirrors (replacing black ones). The interior of the Honda Fit Sport features darker metallic components, and the console-mounted center cup holders are now equipped with console lighting giving easier access and greater stability. Extra measures to reduce outside noise have been included such as additional sound insulation in the floor, fenders and A-pillars, as well as thicker front windows. There are also two new classic colours: Blue Raspberry Metallic and Orangeburst Metallic.
