Honda Odyssey Concept 2010 posters

Honda Odyssey Concept

The Honda Odyssey Concept, unveiled at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show, is a bold departure from traditional minivan styling, featuring a low and wide stance with a "lightning-bolt" beltline that highlights its dynamic profile. Compared to its 2009 predecessor, the Concept has a slightly lower roofline (-1.0 inch) and a wider stance (+1.4 inch), making it sleeker, stronger, and more aerodynamic and fuel-efficient. The Concept's curving roof pillars, tapered rear cabin shape, LED taillights, and projector beam headlights add a touch of sophistication. "The Honda Odyssey established its reputation by providing families with what they want in a minivan," said Vicki Poponi, assistant vice president of American Honda product planning. "The next-generation Honda Odyssey promises to take these strengths to a higher level while adding more style and personality." The production Honda Odyssey, expected to debut this fall, will have improved interior for increased passenger and cargo space and be EPA-rated at 19 city/28 highway mpg (as determined by Honda). Both the concept and production vehicles, as well as their development, were designed at Honda R&D Americas in Torrance, California, and Raymond, Ohio. Offering superior driving dynamics, a 3rd-Row Magic Seat, and i-VTEC™ V-6 engine with three-mode Variable Cylinder Management™, the Honda Odyssey has won multiple awards, including the Edmunds.com 2010 "Top Recommended" minivan award, U.S. News and World Report 2010 "Best Minivan for the Money" award, and Automotive Lease Guide 2010 "Best Minivan for the Money."
