Honda Odyssey EX 2005 posters

Honda Odyssey EX

The North American Honda Odyssey was completely redesigned and released as a 2005 model. It was manufactured in Lincoln, Alabama, as production was moved from Alliston, Ontario, Canada. The Odyssey stayed on the same global light truck platform and apart from the Japanese domestic market Odyssey. With only slight changes in size and weight, plus a decrease in acceleration, it still features a 3.5 L V6 engine. EX-L and Touring models have i-VTEC with Variable Cylinder Management. The 2005 model included a new lazy susan storage in the flooring, eight passenger seating with limited accessibility, and a 60/40 foldable seat (like the Toyota Sienna's). Pax run flat tires were made standard on the Touring model, and could run 125 miles when flat. Replacement tires and wheels costed between $200 and $600. Installment could be tricky and expensive, as both Honda and Michelin dealers do not always have the necessary equipment necessary. Highly-equipped Honda Odyssey models initially sold for much higher prices, but in 2006, increased competition in the minivan market pushed prices down. Issues such as lower-than-advertised gas mileage, wind and road noise, DVD and sliding door malfunctions, and exhaust droning have been reported however. Increased choices and lower costs of buying and operating the vans may see more buyers than in previous years.
