Honda Pilot Prototype 2009 posters

Honda Pilot Prototype

The prototype of the upcoming Honda Pilot that is being revealed at the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit speaks of the 2009 Pilot's bolder styling, clever and roomier interior, and advanced features for improved safety, efficiency, and convenience. John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda, commented, "The Pilot's pioneering formula improves for 2009 by enhancing its combination of refinement and efficiency with even more traditional SUV strengths. A powerful exterior design communicates strength and allows for more space inside." The Pilot offers 8-passenger seating, with increased legroom, cargo space, and overall passenger space for all occupants. Its redesigned platform also allows for improved handling and ride comfort while maintaining its all-weather and medium-duty off-road capabilities. The 2009 Pilot goes the extra mile in terms of safety by introducing Honda's exclusive Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE®) body structure, along with the most extensive use of high-strength steel in any Honda product to date. The ACE body structure also enhances compatibility in frontal collisions with vehicles of different sizes and bumper heights, as well as incorporating a special pedestrian injury mitigation design in the front of the vehicle.
