Honda Prelude Type SH

The Honda Prelude is a sporty four-cylinder front-wheel drive coupe manufactured by Honda between 1978 and 2001. It enjoyed five generations of cars, but sales and popularity dwindled after the fourth-generation Honda Integra was released in Japan in late 2001. The Toyota Celica was the main rival of the Prelude since its introduction several years prior. It also faced competition from other vehicles including the Nissan Silvia, Isuzu Impulse, Mitsubishi FTO, Mitsubishi Cordia (later named Eclipse), and Mazda MX-6. In 1997, the fifth generation was released with improvements to its body style and handling. It was available in many parts of the world such as Japan, the U.K., the U.S., and Germany. Japan had a variety of models including the SiR (10.6), Xi (8.8), Si (9.2), SiR S-spec (11.0) and the Type S (11.0). The U.S. received a Base model and Type SH. Europe and Australia had the 2.0i (9.5) and 2.2 VTi VTEC (10.0) models respectively. All fifth-generation Honda Preludes had weight distribution of 63/37 and came with 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels or 14-inch steel ones (for Xi models). The JDM trims also got rear windshield wipers (except for the Xi). Engines ranged from the H22A (all models except Xi and Si) to the F22B (for Xi and Si) and F20A (for 2.0i). The fuel tank capacity was 60 L (15.9 US gal) for the fifth-generation model. 1997
