The exterior features a lighter, stiffer design that reduces lift through aerodynamic spoilers and a removable aluminum hardtop replaces the convertible soft top. Inside, the unique spherical aluminum shifter and carbon fiber-style trim panels create an exclusive interior with black fabric seating surfaces complete with yellow stitching. Weight savings have gone up a total of 51 pounds when the hardtop is installed and 99 pounds when the hardtop is removed.
Enhanced chassis balance at high speeds is complemented by a quicker steering ratio, firmer suspension settings, larger stabilizer bars, and new Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tires. An additional rear body brace has also been added to increase body and chassis rigidity compared to the base 2008 Honda S2000. Air conditioning and an AM/FM/CD audio system are only available as factory-installed optional equipment.
