Hummer H2 SUV

Overview The Hummer H2 is a large SUV, smaller than the Hummer H1. It was manufactured by AM General and introduced in 2002, followed by the H2 SUT, (a pickup truck version) in 2004. It shares GM's GMT820 truck platform with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, however, it differs in many respects. Its front section is a modified GM 2500-series utility frame, with a new, completely boxed mid-section, and modified GM 1500-series rearmost frame. Engine The H2 is equipped with a 6.0L (366 in³) V8 engine. Capabilities The H2 offers impressive off-road performance, with a high ground clearance, large tires, protective underbody plates, and low gearing allowing it to climb over a 20-inch-high (0.4 m) wall. Its use of a massive truck frame and wide track provide excellent stability. Fuel Economy The H2's fuel economy ranges from 10-14 mpg on improved roads, to 8-14 U.S. mpg in urban driving, converting to 14-17 L/100 km and 21-25 L/100 km, respectively.
