Hummer H3 Alpha
HUMMER announced its 2008 H3 Alpha at the New York Auto Show, a vehicle which goes on sale this summer and broadens HUMMER's range of versatile and capable cars. As part of the exclusive Alpha series, the H3 Alpha offers unparalleled performance off the road as well as on it. It is powered by a 5.3L V-8 engine delivering 295 horsepower (224 kW) and 317 lb.-ft. of torque (438 Nm), while its four-speed automatic transmission allows a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds (2,721 kg).
"H3 Alpha is the ultimate HUMMER H3," said Martin Walsh, HUMMER general manager. "It will provide H3's renowned off-road capability enhanced with performance tailored to all kinds of lifestyles."
Besides the V-8 engine, the H3 Alpha is also equipped with the "Luxury" package, the Chrome Appearance package, 16-inch chrome wheels, and exclusive Alpha identification including a tailgate badge, horn pad badge, and embroidered 'Alpha' insignia on the front headrests.
HUMMER customers wanting an accessorized appearance from the factory may choose the Alpha combined with the H3 X package, featuring bright roof crossbows, chrome fuel door, body-color grille, unique spare tire cover, tires, wheels and center cap, and a brush guard.
