Hummer H3 Wagon Concept

Artist Matthew Harrison unveiled his latest project entitled 'Hummer' at the fifth Zoo Art Fair (17-20 October, 2008) - a work of art combining a HUMMER H3 with wooden wagon wheels. The iconic installation was parked on Old Burlington Road, opposite the Royal Academy of Arts, for the duration of the fair, presented by East London gallery Limoncello. The gallery is among the 57 under six year old spaces, project spaces, artist collectives, curatorial groups and publications showcasing works from some of the most talented artists in the world. Harrison's 'Hummer' sculpture fuses art, engineering, and motoring. Its sculptural presence is connected to its possibility for action. Corin Richards from HUMMER commented: "Similar to HUMMER, this sculpture really is like no other. As well as being built for action, the H3 certainly has a unique, iconic style. We were thrilled to be approached by Matthew and glad to be supporting his work at the Zoo Art Fair." Powered by a 3.7-litre VORTEC petrol engine, HUMMER H3 features full-time four-wheel drive, a two-ratio transfer gearbox, traction control, and HUMMER's patented StabiliTrack Stability Enhancement System – all of which lend the car its assured behaviour on any terrain. All come with a comprehensive standard equipment list, including air conditioning, electric windows, remote central locking, a six-speaker audio system, cruise control, and more.
