Hyundai Blue-Will Concept

The Hyundai Blue-Will Concept is an exploration of new and innovative ideas, such as roof-mounted solar cells, drive-by-wire steering, lithium polymer batteries, and touch-screen controls. It is suggested that future hybrid vehicles from Hyundai may take a cue from the Blue-Will's design. With a single charge, it can drive up to 40 miles and has an approximate fuel economy rating of more than 100 miles per gallon. This fourth concept-vehicle to come from Hyundai's Namyang Design Center is codenamed HND-4. The exterior of the Blue-Will Concept was designed with an "eco-sleek" attitude in mind. Its form and shapely lines, as well as the fluidic sculpture design approach, provide a unique exterior compared to the current hybrid models. In an effort to reduce aerodynamic drag and increase fuel efficiency, an extended full-length cover is installed underneath the car. Oh Suk-Geun, executive vice president of design for Hyundai Motor Company, states, "Hyundai Blue-Will Concept's bold character lines and fluidic sculpture design language give the perfect expression to the advanced eco-friendly technologies found beneath the skin. At a time of rising concern about the environment and our energy future, Hyundai Blue-Will Concept demonstrates to eco-conscious car buyers everywhere that Hyundai has practical hybrid solutions that will appear on the next generation of vehicles."
