In addition, it has received the prestigious Ward's Ten Best Engines award for the third consecutive year.
The 5.0-liter Tau V8 features a higher cylinder bore (from 92 mm to 96 mm) and direct injection technology, with a compression ratio of 11.5:1. This allows it to increase power and torque while also reducing fuel consumption and emissions. It also has a revised bed plate for improved block rigidity, camshaft carriers, and a roller timing chain for increased valvetrain stability.
