Hyundai Genesis Coupe Concept 2007 posters

Hyundai Genesis Coupe Concept

Hyundai created a buzz when they revealed the Concept Genesis Coupe during a press conference at the 2007 Los Angeles International Auto Show. This stunning concept car signals the brand's arrival of an all-new, rear-wheel drive 2+2 sports coupe slated for release in the spring of 2009. Following the launch of the Concept Genesis sedan, the Coupe is Hyundai's second step in broadening its appeal to driving enthusiasts. The Concept Genesis Coupe's Sonic Orange showcase features a Ballistic Black carbon fiber hood, roof, and ground effects to reduce the car's weight. Stylistic features such as the "Z" bodylines and bold curves hint at what the production version will be like, which is sure to be one of the most affordable 300+ horsepower cars on the market. DESIGN PROCESS The goal of Concept Genesis Coupe was to design a pure-performance car that would capture the attention of automotive enthusiasts. Chief designer Joel Piaskowski of the Hyundai Design Center in Irvine, California, believes that the car's aggressive look from any angle accomplishes this. With design elements such as the undulating beltline and sensual body forms borrowed from the HCD9 Talus and HCD8 sports tourer, the concept's headlight and taillight designs are also sure to stand out.
