Hyundai Veloster C3 Concept
Smart design and urban style come together in Hyundai's Veloster C3 Roll Top concept, showcased at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. It builds on the already successful Veloster but adds a dual-function roll top and tailgate, giving it the qualities of a coupe, convertible, and tailgate all in one.
According to Chris Chapman, chief designer for Hyundai Design North America, "We were inspired by the proverb 'A rolling stone gathers no moss.' The Veloster C3 Roll Top concept offers the 'no strings attached' freedom of a roll top convertible and customizable utility that fits an everyday to a play day dual lifestyle."
DUAL PERSONALITIES = ENHANCED UTILITY
Designed by Hyundai Design North America, the roof on the Veloster C3 is designed to open either to the rear or the windshield of the vehicle. This dual-function gives it two different personalities. It can be in convertible mode with the top rolled back, perfect for a drive, or with the top rolled forward and the tailgate open, it's great for recreational activities such as surfing, biking, or kayaking.
