Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe

The Infiniti G35 is a sport luxury car that was introduced to North America in the 2003 model year, and is also known as the 11th generation (V35) Nissan Skyline in Japan and other names elsewhere in the world. It debuted with a 6-speed manual transmission as a part of the 2003.5 model, available for both the sedan and the coupe. The G35 is powered by the VQ35DE engine, which has produced 260 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque in the sedan and 280 horsepower and 270 lb-ft in the coupe for the 2003-04 model years. For 2005-06 models, those with an automatic transmission (both sedan and coupe) produce 280 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, while those with a manual transmission generate 298 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The G35 is based on the Nissan FM platform, and is assembled in Tochigi, Japan. The G35 was welcomed by many for its ability to compete with more expensive luxury cars. Motor Trend named it as the Car of the Year for 2003, and Car and Driver listed it on its Ten Best list for 2003 and 2004. Its features include all-wheel drive option, front-midship engine, rear-wheel drive layout, and a 52/48 weight distribution. Both body styles offer a 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission, with the all-wheel drive model designated the G35x and using an Aisin-Warner AWD system. Over the years, the G35 has received some updates, such as new colors, interior trims, knobs, Bluetooth capability, and headlamps, taillights, spoiler, and front bumper for the 2006 models. Its competitors include the Acura TL, Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, Cadillac CTS, Lexus IS, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Volvo S60.
