Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe
The Infiniti G35 is a sport luxury car released in North America for the 2003 model year and known in Japan as the 11th generation (V35) Nissan Skyline. It is available as a sedan or coupe, with options for either a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. The sport coupe has a V6 engine producing 298 horsepower and 260 ft·lbf of torque with a manual transmission and 280 horsepower and 270 ft·lbf with an automatic transmission, with the sedan producing slightly less. It is based on the Nissan FM platform with a front-midship engine and rear-wheel drive design (all-wheel drive is available for the G35x sedan). It has a well-received 52/48 weight distribution, putting it on par with many of its luxury competitors.
The G35 is crafted in Tochigi, Japan and has received multiple awards, including Motor Trend's Car of the Year for 2003 and Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list for 2003 and 2004. It is also nominated for the North American Car of the Year Award and is considered a viable alternative to more expensive luxury cars.
The G35's competitors include the Acura TL, Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, Cadillac CTS, Lexus IS, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Volvo S60.
