Infiniti M35x

The Infiniti M35x is an all-wheel-drive model that boasts excellent performance capabilities due to its sports car-derived system (ATTESA-ETS) which sends power to the rear wheels until slip is detected. Initially released in 2003, the M45 model was based on the Y34-series Nissan Gloria and Nissan Cedric, with styling similar to the Gloria. The engine used in the M45 was Nissan's 340 hp VK45DE V8, which produces 333 ft.lbf of torque. Despite its squared-off Japanese style, the M45 unfortunately sold poorly on the US market. In 2006, Infiniti released a redesigned version of the M, in a bid to compete directly in the mid-size sport luxury class against cars like the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The M uses an extremely rigid version of the G35/350Z/FX Nissan FM platform, which is equipped with either the common VQ-series 280 hp (208 kW) 3.5L V6 engine in the M35, or the Q45's 335 hp (249 kW) 4.5L V8 in the M45. The M has received several awards from the automotive press in direct comparisons against its competitors. Furthermore, both the M35 and M45 boast the quickest 0-60 times in their class (6.3 and 5.4 seconds, respectively). The M also breaks the reaches the EPA "large" car category depending on the option packages chosen, while offering more interior space than the luxury flagship Q45 despite being smaller on the outside. Prices in the US (USD) range from roughly $40,000 - $55,000 for the M35x, which makes it competitively one of the lowest in its class for features.
