Isuzu Pickup 2008 posters

Isuzu Pickup

The Isuzu Pickup made its first appearance in 2006 and was soon hailed by two different magazines, "Truck of Texas" and "Four Wheeler of the Year" as the "Truck of the Year". Additionally, IntelliChoice also named the 2006 models as a "Smart Choice" in ten different ownership-cost categories and, particularly, singled out the 2006 i-280 Extended Cab S as having the lowest repair costs of its class. For 2007, the i-280 Extended Cab 4x2 makes room for the i-290, while the i-350 Crew Cab 4x4 is now referred to as the i-370. The trim levels remain the same; the i-290 is available in a base S trim with Optional Equipment, LS and Luxury packages also available, and the i-370 is available in either the LS or the optional Limited trim. Differentiating itself further from its predecessor, the 2007 model introduces more powerful engines, with the 2.9-liter inline four-cylinder engine replacing the 2.8-liter, resulting in an increased 185 hp (in comparison to 175), and torques of 190 ft.-lbs. Similarly, the 3.7-liter inline five-cylinder engine replaces the 3.5-liter, increasing horsepower from 220 to 242, and torque to 242 ft.-lbs. In addition to these enhanced engines, the 2007 models offer a Tire Pressure Monitoring System included as standart equipment on all models, a 3.73 rear axle ratio added for manual transmission models replacing the previous 3.42 on manual transmission models, an increased towing capacity from 1,700 to 2,100 lbs. on manual transmission models, a Pacific Blue exterior color added to the range, and interior trim and colors changes through the replacement of the Very Dark Pewter (LS, Luxury and Limited), Red Rock Metallic, and Adriatic Blue Metallic exterior colors with Deep Crimson Metallic, Bering Blue Metallic, and Ebony, respectively, as well as the addition of chrome accents to the HVAC lever, gauges, and speaker surrounds (LS, Luxury and Limited), and mid-year chrome accents to the interior door handles and locks (LS, Luxury and Limited). Despite all the upgrades, prices remain the same as in 2006. The i-290 Extended Cab 4x2 S has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $16,989, while the i-370 Crew Cab 4x4 LS starts at an M.S.R.P. of $27,358.
