Italdesign Giugiaro Quaranta Concept
The Italdesign Giugiaro Quaranta project was created to commemorate the 40 years of success in automotive engineering and design by Italdesign Giugiaro. Unveiled at the 2008 Geneva International Motor Show, the Italdesign Giugiaro Quaranta is an "extreme product", a high-performance, four-wheel drive, eco-friendly super sports car with a hybrid engine and solar power. Despite its mid-mounted rear engine, it can accommodate three adults and a child with enough room to spare for a luggage compartment.
As a tribute to the 1968 Bizzarrini Manta, the Italdesign Giugiaro Quaranta has the same single-volume design featuring a low-profile silhouette and uninterrupted body line extending from the bonnet to the tail. Its flat, highly compact shape allows for more aerodynamic efficiency and the almost horizontal, slanted windscreen ensures better visibility.
