Jeep Commander 4x4 Limited 5.7 HEMI

The Jeep Commander was first revealed at the 2005 New York Auto Show and was released later that year. It's a midsize SUV that seats seven people and has a slight 2-inch edge over the Jeep Grand Cherokee in length. The Commander has a more blocky design, marked by an upright windshield and rigid sides. To bring visual appeal, the vehicle is also outfitted with a stepped roof – the second and third row seats, higher than those in the first, are tucked away but can be seen thanks to a roof rack. Jeep is the third company to reuse the Commander name; previously, it was used by Studebaker and Scammell. Design-wise, some believe that the Commander may have been inspired by the classic Jeep Wagoneer. Its styling is evident in the squared-off shape, but the Commander also sits on the third-generation Grand Cherokee's platform. Jeep offers several engines for this model, the standard being a 3.7-liter PowerTech V6, followed by a 4.7-liter V8 and the 5.7-liter Hemi V8.
