Jeep Compass Concept
Jeep® designers have once again pushed the limit, creating two brand-new concept sport-utility-vehicles (SUVs) that could expand the Jeep model range. Unveiling at the 2005 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, the Jeep Patriot and Jeep Compass concepts suggest two potential compact SUVs the Jeep Brand could introduce for global markets in the near future.
Designed for enhancement of fun, freedom, usability, versatility, and fuel efficiency, the rear-wheel or four-wheel drive Patriot and Compass utilize a 2.4-liter World Engine or a 2.0-liter diesel (exclusively designed for international markets), matched with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and Jeep's newest 4×4 technologies.
While the two models have similar designs, they cater to different sets of customers who look for great value and fuel efficiency. Possessing the proficiency to join the Jeep Commander, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Liberty (Cherokee outside North America), and Jeep Wrangler lineups, the Patriot and Compass will extend the global Jeep series further.
