The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 is a high performance SUV, powered by a 6.1-litre HEMI V8. This engine produces 420 bhp and 420 lb ft of torque, making it 25 per cent more powerful than the standard Grand Cherokee. It makes use of an unique four-wheel-drive system to make sure it reaches 62 mph in just 5.0 seconds, while boasting a top speed of 152 mph.
The all-new four-wheel-drive system of the SRT-8 ensures that it has the traction and stability it needs even when navigating slippery surfaces. The transfer case is set up to deliver from five to ten per cent of torque to the front wheels, with the remaining 90-to-95 per cent being sent to the rear axle. If more stability and traction is needed, up to 100 percent of torque can be transferred to the front wheels.
