Drawing on the success story of three special-edition Wrangler vehicles produced in 2010, the Jeep® brand has now launched its latest version - the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Mojave. Tribute is being paid to the renowned and tough Mojave Trail situated in the western desert by applying a unique desert theme, both inside and outside, as well as by installing an aggressive wheel and tire package for conquering the toughest of terrains.
"The Mojave Trail is well-known for its expeditions, exploration and hostile environment, featuring elevation changes, sand, canyons, river crossings, and hill climbs - perfect grounds for the Jeep Wrangler," said Mike Manley, President and CEO - Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. "We are delighted to come up with Jeep Wrangler Mojave, which is sure to delight not only existing Jeep fanatics but also bring in a bunch of new customers to our showrooms."
The Mojave Trail stretches along 138 miles, beginning at Laughlin, Nev., and ending near Barstow, Calif., in Afton Canyon. Available in both Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited models, it is set to hit Jeep showrooms in June 2011.
Jeep Wrangler Mojave
Based on the Wrangler Sport model, the Mojave projects off-road driving fun with its desert theme. Exterior elements include a body-colored hardtop, fender flares, "Mojave" and lizard decals on the hood and rear, and side steps like in the Sahara model. Jeep Wrangler Mojave has a Wrangler Rubicon tire and wheel package, featuring mineral gray 17-inch wheels shod with 32-inch tires, a black fuel filler door, and taillamp guards.
