Kia has recently updated the entire range of the European-designed, engineereed and manufactured cee'd family. All five-door cee'd, three door pro_cee'd, cee'd Sportswagon and cee'd GT and pro_cee'd GT have seen a revamp with features such as new powertrains for greater fuel efficiency and lowered emissions, improved chassis settings, modified styling and trim, more electronic driver assistance and added connected car services.
Available for delivery from October 1, 2015, price ranges start from £14,905 (cee'd), £15,250 (pro_cee'd) to £16,750 (Sportswagon) for the pro_cee'd GT and cee'd GT at £23,105 and £23,605 respectively. These new models come with Kia's advanced 1.0-litre ecoTurbo petrol engine and a 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engine with a seven-speed double-clutch (7-DCT) automatic gearbox.
Developed in-house at Kia's Namyang research and development facility in Korea, the 998cc engines offer direct fuel injection and turbocharging that require up to 15% less fuel consumption compared to the 1.4-litre multi-point injection. This results in higher fuel economy rating of 57.6 mpg with CO2 emissions as low as 113g/km, depending on model.
