Kia Ceed Sporty Wagon
Kia has unveiled the first image of its all-new C-segment estate, the cee'd 'sporty wagon', which will be showcased at the Mondial de L'Automobile in Paris next week before its mid-2007 launch. This 4470 mm long, 1490 mm high vehicle is the second model from the cee'd family of cars and a first-of-its-kind in the C-segment. It has a tailgate designed like an inverted 'L' with the hinges located on the back of the load area, allowing the tailgate to open almost vertically to provide easy access to the spacious cargo area with added storage under the floor. The 2650 mm wheelbase is the same as that of the production-ready five-door hatchback cee'd, which will be released in December 2006.
When the cee'd sporty wagon is released in September, customers will have the choice of five engines, three trim/equipment levels and 12 exterior colours. This marks a major milestone in Kia's history, as the cee'd family is the first Kia models to be designed and produced in Europe, thus bringing about a new era for the brand.
